After watching a watercolor painting video of how to paint a misty, foggy landscape or seascape done by David R. Smith, I attempted to do one myself. Thus the yellow misty landscape painting was the first one. Later I watched another video with an ocean scene, here's my version of a misty sunset by the sea... I'll have to keep practice a few times to the point where I know what I'm doing convincingly!!! 😊
While I was motivated and had my supplies out already, I decided to create another wall hanging before I lose my desire to sew and put all the paraphernalia away!! My last sewing project for this year!
This is a whimsical interpretation of an ancient village located on top of rocky cliffs, sewn by hand, and finished edges by sewing machine. |
During Spring Cleaning last month, I found several remnant fabrics stashed away in a cabinet that I couldn't throw out . So I decided to create a wall hanging with pieces of fabric in various colors, shapes, and sizes, organize them in a balanced manner, and hand-sew them on the navy colored background.
Here's the result! |
While I was Spring Cleaning 3 weeks ago, I found 5 canvas boards and tubes of acrylic I had bought years ago for my grandkids to paint on while I had them occasionally on weekends, but never had that opportunity.
So, I decided to take this time to use them myself. These are 8x10 in size and I call the abstract ones my Pandemonium #1 & #2.
The other three are realistic landscapes; the Forest one is from a calendar photo, Ocean is from my imagination, and the Clouds is a scene out of my kitchen window from where I kept seeing so many days worth of huge, billowing, puffy clouds in the sky!
I'm done with painting with acrylic paints, for now. Enjoy!

Here are four miniature seascapes to add to my page. They are 4x6 in size on off-white paper.
I got inspired down at San Clemente where we have a condo with ocean view

I painted this 9X12 picture while sitting on a step stool on my driveway, then drawing on it with the pen, this afternoon.

After this, I painted two more pictures of the overgrown rock garden next to the dining room window. I was so looking forward to paint these past three weeks, but couldn't until I decluttered my Studio in my house where things had accumulated so much. Took me 3 weeks to go through 40-years worth of memories!!! Now I have my studio back and ready to create new art forms.

During these past weeks, I've also finished knitting two scarves at night while watching TV as a relaxation and keep my mind off of nibbling on food.
