Great Workshop with Chuck Kovacic, an Impressionist Painter
Chuck Kovacic's Workshop was a great success. He entertained and informed the audience with an art history lesson on how the Impressionism Movement evolved in the 19th century with humorous anecdotes for the first 30 minutes of the session.
Chuck was well prepared with his three choices of handouts for students to pick from as their reference for their paintings.
On his canvas at his easel, he started out with a rough layout of the image with a loosely held brush soaked in dark paint while explaining the concept of balance, composition, focal point. Gradually introduced color in various shapes to create depth in relation to the images he had drawn. In the meantime, the members started to paint their own work.
It truly was an enjoyable, exciting and a learning experience with Chuck Kovacic!
