Jeanne Windoffer
For the first couple of weeks, I was still in denial ( we’re really gonna hunker down for a few weeks?) and just trying to figure out how to get anything done with my husband working at home. I braved the outdoors from the comfort of my driveway and sketched cars on the street, and people and stuff from photos.
I gradually got my “studio space” straightened out and gave myself an attitude adjustment (look at all the time you have for painting!!). I have photos I want to work from, and exercises from YouTube videos and books for some ideas and techniques I want to revisit. But I had to “let it go” a bit before getting the creativity flowing again. When a pandemic gives you chaos, do an abstract! That was freeing— now back to the easel with a smile. 🙂 |
