​My most recent painting is a cheerful still life. It is a high-key
watercolor composition of pomegranates and pears. This set- up and painting seemed very fresh and hopeful in this time of sickness and uncertainty. I hope you enjoy it.

We have been enjoying our backyard. The bulbs need to be in the ground, yesterday. On these unusually warm days everything is feeling like Spring. I have been painting, walking in the neighborhood and trying not to be too upset that Home Goods is closed.

Another Pomegranate study. This is on a much smaller block. I like the opened fruit for it lends more texture and detail to a painting. A bright spot to cheer up a plain kitchen wall.

Just like my pumpkin studies, I need to draw and paint them until I am happy with the results. If Monet can paint haystacks, then I have the best teacher for catching the the light on my humble subject.
