Watercolor Workshop with Joe Cibere - November 28
Joe Cibere is signature member of the National Watercolor Society and his painting style demonstrates his love of nature and wilderness. His"abstract realism" paintings integrate strong design and balance with a sense of illusion and have appeared in "Watercolor Magazine" and in the International Artists book "The Watercolor Sky and Cloud Techniques of 23 International Artists". His work is also part of both corporate and private collections.
He’s been working on more impressionistic landscapes lately using non-traditional watermedia methods for creating what he calls imaginaries. Landscapes that don’t really exist and are more conceptual in nature.
To know when he’s done with a painting he has 3 guides. Does it look good in black & white/greyscale. Does it look good flipped, reversed and rotated? Design is everything. And is there enough left for the viewer to finish the painting? All goes back to knowing how to start and when to finish your vision
If you would like to see his work, check his website: https://www.joeciberewatercolors.com/.
Joe will lead a virtual workshop concentrating on creating early morning "misty", foggy outdoor scenery as well as "Abstract Realism" in landscape painting in watercolors.
The virtual workshop is on Saturday, November 28th, 9:30 am to 1 pm. The cost of the workshop is $40.
For more information or to register for the workshop please contact Arda Derian.
